Support for existing bookings

i) If you have purchased exchange protection* you’ll have the flexibility to modify your exchange booking and rebook a future exchange holiday, provided you rebook within six months of the date you choose to cancel your original exchange booking. If you wish to amend your booking to an alternative destination, please contact us. Our expert travel guides know which resorts are currently available where and when and will help you find an alternative destination to enjoy.

You must be an RCI member at the time of your rescheduled holiday.

ii) If you have NOT purchased exchange protection, our standard cancellation terms apply. We will support you to cancel or change your booking within 21 days of travelling and provide a credit to your RCI membership account of the full amount paid to date so you can rebook a future holiday by 31.12.22, if you cannot travel due to any of the following reasons:

  • The resort you have booked is closed at the time of your holiday;
  • UK Government restrictions make it illegal to travel abroad;
  • It becomes necessary to quarantine on arrival at your destination;
  • You are a UK resident and your holiday destination is placed on the UK government’s ‘red list’ and it becomes necessary to quarantine at a managed quarantine hotel on your return to the UK.

You do not need to have taken your rebooked holiday by 31.12.22, but you must be an RCI member at the time of your rescheduled holiday.

For any bookings cancelled prior to 31.05.21, you have until 31.12.22 to rebook a future holiday. You must be an RCI member at the time of your rescheduled holiday.

For any new extra holidays booked from 01.04.21 onwards, you’ll have the flexibility to change or make a refundable cancellation up to 46 days before check-in. Plus you will also only lose 15% of the price paid if you cancel within 31-45 days of check-in. Terms apply – read our revised extra holidays cancellation policy here.

If you have a credit on your account from an exchange holiday you were unable to enjoy, you are welcome to use this towards an extra holiday booking.

If you are considering cancelling your RCI holiday for a Covid-related reason or if you have purchased exchange protection, please do not cancel your booking on RCI.com. Please contact us to discuss your options.

You can still cancel online for all other reasons, including home week bookings with or without exchange protection.

Rebooked exchange holidays must be within the valid window of either your deposited week or points originally used. You must be an RCI member at the time of your rescheduled holiday.

If you have booked a hotel, car rental, cruise or activities through RCI Travel†, RCI Cruise° or one of our third-party partners, you will need to contact the individual provider for their own cancellation policy.

Please contact us if you wish to modify or cancel a hotel exchange or hotel (cash) booking. These are provided by Alliance Reservation Network. Individual hotel cancellation policies apply and are excluded from the policies cited above.

In the event of any conflict between the terms of your RCI membership and the terms set out above, the terms set out above shall apply.
