Top 3 Florida Day Trips

There are so many things to do in Florida. You can explore the underground spring at Devil’s Den, spend hours theme park hopping or enjoy a day watching a Nascar Race at Daytona. The options are endless and here are few ways to spend on your day trip adventure.

Orlando

Orlando is known for its theme parks, water parks and outdoor activities. Orlando’s central location makes it a perfect day trip destination from a lot of the Florida beaches. Spend the day park-hopping, shopping and enjoying the delicious food Orlando has to offer.

Visit Walt Disney World and spend the day with some of your favorite childhood characters. Or explore Universal Studios. Here you can visit the Wizarding World of Harry Porter. Purchase an interactive wand and spend the morning learning how to cast spells. When done take the Hogwarts Express to the Islands of Adventure where you can visit Jurassic World.

A few miles from the Parks, you have vast amount of shopping options. Orlando houses some big large outlet stores where you can spend the evening shopping.

The Everglades

Another popular day trip destination in Florida is the Everglades. Visit the Everglades National Park. Here you can enjoy outdoor activities like biking, boating and fishing. If you decide you want to enjoy the outdoors longer there are some campsites and lodging available for the whole family.

Take the afternoon to explore Everglades Alligator Farm. Enjoy an airboat ride spinning through the Everglades’ sawgrass prairies. Do the alligator encounter and meet some baby alligators and crocodiles. Get up close and personal, holding these alligators and snapping some pictures to show those back at home.

The Kennedy Space Center

Visit the Kennedy Space Center, one of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)’s ten field centers and their main launch site .NASA’s launch headquarters is located on Merritt Island. At the space center you can meet astronauts, touch a moonrock, visit the astronaut hall of fame and explore the rocket garden. The attractions and tours at the Visitor Complex are organized into Mission Zones. The zones are in chronological order by era. Walk in the shoes of astronauts as you enjoy the experience of floating space with a shuttle launch.
